The Big 1-8 Today!!

Nope, not my birthday.  I’m a little older than 18.
That’s how far I will be running today.  As you can probably tell, I am procrastinating by internetting instead of running out to achieve this awesome feat.  Oh internet, thank you for saving me once again.
I just read this post over at Run, Eat, Repeat and [...]

I am crying

I am sitting here, watching The Biggest Loser, and crying.  Does this make me the biggest loser?  Geez, I must be getting my period if this is getting to me that badly.
Today was such a wonderfully relaxing day at work.  We were giving the students the Regents exams, so it was just proctoring and free [...]

The 53 Commandments

I’ve been meaning to repost something that I saw on Caitlin’s blog a while ago.  I loved this list and wanted to share it:

1. Don’t be a whiner. Nobody likes a whiner, not even other whiners.
2. Walking out the door is often the toughest part of a run.

Answer to a question

Two posts in one day?  OMG I am on top of things tonight!

Recovery time

Oy vay, today was a tough one at school.  I really lost patience with some students.  They never ever ever stop talking.  Sometimes I forget what a ridiculous time of life adolescence is.  Thank god I’m past that!
I decided not to take a picture of my delicioso soup.  Why?  Well, lentils + ground turkey = [...]

No thanks

I recently bought this tea

It is not good.  It has a really fake almond flavor.  I’m having trouble finding a caffeine free tea that I like.  I generally don’t like herbal teas, so that makes it very difficult.  Any suggestions?
I just got back from the gym.  I’m watching the Newshour and I am about to [...]

Running in the snow

That is what I did today, for over two hours!
I kept putting off my 15 miler this weekend.  Saturday was ridiculously freezing cold (it hurt my face just to be outside) so instead I went with O to the fancy schmancy gym at the Yale Club.  I like the gym there because they flavor their [...]

Rest day!

Oh boy, is it cooooold out!  Today is a lovely lovely rest day full of doing nothing, drinking tea, reading books, staying warm, and NOT running.
But, seriously, I am terrified about freezing my hiney off on tomorrow’s long run.  Brrrr.
