So this blog was started out as a food and fitness blog but has morphed into me talking about running. Sometimes I complain about running too (hey, it’s tiring!)
The name of my blog comes from the bf’s nickname for me. I have about a million nicknames (haha I misspelled that with a silent K…go knicks?) for him, but in the interest of protecting his future political career, I won’t reveal them.
My interests include running, eating chocolate, drinking too much wine, making awkward situations more awkward, almost finishing crossword puzzles, Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble, free stuff, The Hills (team Spencer!), the internet, arguing about things that happened in 8th grade, good practical jokes, the NYC subway system (it’s amazing!), and pretending I know something about everything.
I teach high school English in the Bronx. This means that I spend most of my day lamenting my students’ poor grammar and trying not to laugh at all the hysterical things they do. The kids may drive me crazy and I challenge you to find a more exhausting job, but at the end of the day, I love what I do. How many people have jobs where they laugh hysterically at least once a day?
My personality can best be described as sarcastic with just enough earnestness to make me bearable.
